Homework & Review Routine숙제 & 복습 루틴

Homework is not a test — it's the bridge between one lesson and the next. Little and often beats long and rare.

Each time you finish a lesson, your tutor sends you a link to your Student Page with everything from that class: corrections, new words, and a short homework list. This pack is your guide to using that link well — plus a few simple routines you can repeat every single week.

How Homework Works Here숙제 안내

Here's the simple cycle we use for every lesson:

  • During class — your tutor writes down corrections and new words while you talk.
  • Right after class — you get a link to your Student Page with that lesson's log.
  • Before the next class — you check the homework list and try the review routines in this pack.
  • At the start of next class — your tutor asks about one or two things from your homework, out loud.

That's it. No grading, no pressure — just a short loop that keeps last week's Korean alive until this week's lesson.

Words You'll See Often

  • sukje

    Homework

Short tasks to try before your next lesson.

  • bokseup

    Review

Looking back at what you already learned.

  • daneojang

    Vocabulary notebook

All the new words from your lessons, in one place.

  • hwagin

    Check / confirm

What your tutor does with your homework — no grades, just a quick look.

Your Weekly Review Checklist주간 복습 체크리스트

You don't need a new plan every week — you need the same plan, repeated. Pick one day between lessons (the day after your lesson works well) and go through this short checklist. It should take under 10 minutes.

Vocabulary Routine: 5 Words a Day단어 암기 루틴

Your vocabulary notebook grows every lesson — which means it can get overwhelming fast. Instead of reviewing all of it, pick just 5 words a day. Say each one out loud, then try to use it in one sentence, even a very simple one.

Here are 5 words every beginner uses constantly — a good set to practice this routine with right now.

This Week's 5 Words

  • oneul

    Today

  • naeil

    Tomorrow

  • ibeon ju

    This week

  • dasi

    Again

  • jogeum

    A little

Say each word out loud 3 times. Then close your eyes and try to say all 5 from memory.

Record Yourself: Speaking Homework말하기 녹음 과제

Talking to yourself might feel strange — it works anyway. Recording a short voice memo lets you hear your own Korean, which is very different from just reading it.

Try recording the short dialogue below. Play both parts yourself, or ask a friend — or your tutor, if there's time — to read one side while you read the other.

Tutor

gibuni eottaeyo?

How are you feeling?

You

joayo!

Good!

Tutor

dasi hanbeon malhae juseyo.

Please say it one more time.

You

algesseoyo!

Got it!

Role-swap: read one side, then switch! 역할을 바꿔 읽어 보세요.

Self-Check Mini Quizzes셀프 퀴즈

Before your next lesson, take thirty seconds for this quiz. It's not graded and your tutor won't see the results — it's just for you, to notice what's still fuzzy before class instead of during it.

Q1What does 복습 (bokseup) mean?

Q2What does 숙제 (sukje) mean?

Q3How do you say “again” in Korean?

Track Your Streak & Celebrate Progress학습 기록과 성취 축하

Your Student Page keeps a running record of every lesson — which means you can see your own streak grow: weeks in a row with homework done, corrections you've already fixed, words you've already learned.

That visible progress is worth celebrating out loud, not just noticing quietly. Ask your tutor to mark it at the start of a lesson — most tutors are happy to.

Celebration Phrases

  • jalhaesseoyo!

    Well done!

Perfect for finishing a homework streak.

  • choegoyeyo!

    You're the best! / Awesome!

    A little stronger than 잘했어요.

  • hwaiting!

You can do it! / Go for it!

A classic Korean cheer — used for encouragement before a challenge, not just after success.

Celebrate These Milestones

You don't need to do everything in this pack every week. Pick one routine — the 5 words, the recording, or the quiz — and repeat just that one for a month. Consistency beats completeness, every time.
